TRSS Abu Dhabi and Armaf launch intelligent fragrance kiosk

TRSS, in partnership with Armaf and Abu Dhabi Airports, has launched the first Armaf-branded intelligent fragrance kiosk in travel retail, introducing a new format that converts high passenger traffic into incremental sales while delivering more joyful, seamless moments along the traveller journey.
Located along a high-flow corridor leading to Gates D, adjacent to the airport’s flagship duty free store, the Club de Nuit Smart Perfume Kiosk enables passengers to discover and purchase fragrances in under a minute through a fully self-service experience. The format brings fragrance closer to travellers who would not typically enter a store, unlocking new retail moments in transit.
The concept addresses a core challenge in airport retail: how to convert passenger volume into transactions without expanding store footprints. By combining product discovery and instant purchase, the kiosk offers a faster, more accessible way to shop.

Developed by UAE-based retail technology company UMMI, the kiosk operates not only as a dispensing unit but as a connected retail platform. It enables real-time tracking of purchasing behaviour, inventory and demand, while generating insights that inform assortment, and ongoing optimisation. This includes identifying top-performing SKUs and demand patterns in real time, supporting assortment optimisation and merchandising decisions.
This data-driven approach positions the kiosk as a scalable retail intelligence model, allowing TRSS and its partners to continuously refine the experience and maximise performance in high-footfall environments.
The kiosk offers a curated selection of 12 Armaf fragrances, led by the Club de Nuit range, and is designed for international travellers, time-sensitive passengers and digitally confident consumers. It creates a low-pressure, self-service purchase moment within the journey.

The kiosk was unveiled on June 5th, supported by a live activation to drive awareness and engagement with Ebraheem Al Samadi, Kuwaiti-American entrepreneur and cast member of Netflix’s Dubai Bling, and the face of the Armaf Club de Nuit Bling fragrance. Armaf Beauty Advisors engaged passengers, distributing samples and branded chocolates.
This launch marks the first step in a broader rollout strategy. TRSS and Armaf will assess performance across sales, conversion, passenger engagement and operational learnings to support expansion across airports, hotels, cruise terminals and other high-footfall environments.
