Porto, 29 April – Portugal Duty Free has officially unveiled its newly transformed store at Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, now double its previous size. This marks a significant milestone in the continued evolution of travel retail across Portugal. 

Spanning two floors, the new Porto Duty Free store delivers a more immersive and elevated retail experience, with a significantly expanded offer across all categories and a strong emphasis on local identity.

At the heart of the concept is a celebration of Northern Portugal, brought to life through a carefully curated selection of regional products and experiences. The store features one of the most extensive Port wine assortments in the country, with over 230 varieties across more than 25 brands, anchored by a standout Port Cellar that brings the heritage and craftsmanship of the region to life.

Passengers are invited to discover an authentic taste of Portugal through a curated local offering, including Aveiro’s iconic ovos moles, traditional preserves, Arcádia artisanal chocolates and pastéis de nata delivered fresh to the store daily. The presence of renowned Portuguese brands such as Claus Porto further reinforces the store’s strong sense of place and commitment to showcasing the very best of local production.

The beauty category has also been significantly enhanced, with the introduction of globally recognised brands including Jo Malone, Tom Ford, Sol de Janeiro and Kérastase, creating a more diverse and premium offer for travellers.

Designed to deliver a seamless and engaging journey, the store integrates innovative digital features, including a striking 30-metre LED façade that immerses passengers in the landscapes and identity of the region. Self-service checkouts, mobile solutions and Click & Collect further enhance convenience.

The transformation of Porto Duty Free marks a key step in the broader evolution of Portugal Duty Free across the ANA/VINCI Airports network. As the final location in the eight-strong Portugal Duty Free network to be refurbished, it concludes an extensive nationwide transformation programme and reinforces a shared vision to deliver world-class retail experiences that celebrate local culture while meeting the evolving expectations of international travellers.
