ARI’s teams around the world marked World Clean Up Day 2025 with volunteer-led clean-ups across their local communities. As part of ARI’s Journey with Purpose ESG strategy, the People pillar outlines a commitment to supporting local communities through dedicated CSV initiatives in all markets, adding value to local communities and the environment as well as providing teams with the feel-good factor of giving back through their work.

In Bahrain, the team from Bahrain Duty Free proudly joined the Clean Up Bahrain Organisation at Janabiya Beach to clear litter and debris from local beaches, helping to restore beauty to the area as well as removing pollution threats to local marine life.

In Barbados, the Caribbean ARI Inc. team played their part to “keep Barbados beautiful” with a beach litter clean up, with several members from across the business volunteering their time to get involved.

The Ahlan Avenue team hosted their environmental clean-up earlier this month at the Alnada District Park, where the team came together to help clear waste from the family-friendly park.

Meanwhile, the team at Montenegro Duty Free conducted a clean-up of a local river in Tivat, with the much-needed removal of waste from the water supply to support local wildlife.

Giving back to our local communities and supporting the local environment are key elements of our People pillar within Journey with Purpose. Since launching the new strategy in April of this year, our business has really stepped up as a leading force in ESG, and we are on track to deliver our KPIs for this year under each of the 4 pillars – People, Planet, Product, Passenger. Our teams love the opportunity to get involved and to give back, and I’m very proud of the efforts that our local ESG Champions have led in support of World Clean Up Day.
