Ole Ole, The Loop celebrates Cinco de Mayo
His Excellency Mr Carlos Eugenio Garcia de Alba, the Mexican ambassador to Ireland, visited The Loop in Terminal 2 last Friday to celebrate his country’s national day, Cinco de Mayo.
ARI retail staff at The Loop needed little encouragement to don sombreros and ponchos to add to the festive atmosphere in the terminal as the Ambassador launched a special three-day Cinco de Mayo promotion.
The event was hosted by ARI chief executive Jack MacGowan.
Departing passengers were treated to Mexican music in the departures area provided by the Mariachi Amigos.
Passengers were also invited to sample tequila, nachos and dips provided by members of The Loop retail team. The event not only brought a flavour of Mexico to Dublin but also helped raise much needed funds for DAA charities
For every bottle of tequila purchased over the three days of the promotion, The Loop presented €5 to DAA’s Charities of the Year – Bee for Battens, Make a Wish Foundation and Down’s Syndrome Ireland.
