ARI Mourns The Passing Of Michael ‘Mick’ Geoghegan
The management and employees of ARI express their deep regret at the recent passing of Michael ‘Mick’ Geoghegan, a cherished former colleague.
Mick had a pioneering and lasting influence on the expansion of ARI to new markets outside Ireland and spearheaded the company’s entry to, and growth in, the key Middle East region.
He was amongst the small group that left Ireland on a six-month consultancy to help Dubai’s Department of Civil Aviation create a duty free business in 1983, which led to the establishment of Dubai Duty Free.
Mick was one of the founders of modern-day ARI. He embodied the values we all aspire to and will be greatly missed,” said ARI CEO Jack MacGowan. “On behalf of ARI, I wish to extend deepest sympathies to his family friends and former colleagues.”
