ARI Celebrates Frontier Success

ARI is celebrating winning multiple Frontier Awards for a second year running.

ARI Irish e-commerce website triumphed in the Best Digital Innovation category, which recognises “indisputable innovation with demonstrable sales results” according to the Frontier judges. There was further success when Bahrain Duty Free won the Best Marketing Campaign by a Retailer for Fortune Airways, a category that ARI also won in 2013 for the Joy of Giving.

Nicola Wells, ARI’s Global Director Marketing and Paul Neeson Retail Director accepted the Digital Innovation Award, while Fadi Allam General Manager, Bahrain Duty Free was on hand to collect the Best Marketing award.

Commenting on the win, Nicola Wells said. “Considering that ARI was also successful in this category in 2013 with our joint venture at Delhi Duty Free, we can justifiably claim to be at the forefront of digital innovation in the travel retail industry.

This latest award is a further endorsement of our concerted efforts to drive customer engagement on and grow the popularity of our Click and Collect model. This free service which allows our customers to shop online and collect their purchases on their return has really enhanced the “end to end” shopping experience and grown the online sales channel for us.

We are also delighted with Bahrain Duty Free’s win. Fortune Airways was a really original campaign that delivered a truly through the line campaign driving customer engagement, retail theatre and crucially sales, ATV and passenger spend. A promotion of this scale requires a significant investment in time and resources and it’s great to see it performing so well.”
