ARI Appoints Nicola Wells as Director of Global Customer Strategy and Marketing
ARI is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicola Wells to the ARI Executive team as Director of Global Customer Strategy and Marketing. Nicola will lead ARI’s customer and category strategy agenda and all global consumer and corporate marketing activities.
“The Customer Strategy & Marketing Team has made an outstanding contribution to ARI in 2013 and we are confident that this function, headed up by Nicola will further enhance our strategic focus on customers and complement the work of the Global Buying and Strategy team,” said CEO Jack MacGowan
Nicola has more than 15 years of sales and marketing experience in the UK and Ireland gained in major multinational FMCG companies (Master Foods UK, Britvic UK, Pepsico Ireland).
Nicola began her career on the graduate programme at Masterfoods in the UK in 1995 fulfilling a number of field sales and regional management roles. She joined Britvic in 1998, broadening her commercial experience in a number of increasingly senior roles in national account management, trade marketing, category management and price and promotion strategy. She then moved into consumer marketing in 2001 managing major household brands such as Pepsi, 7-Up, Robinsons, Fruit Shoot and J20, before relocating to Ireland in 2007 with PepsiCo.
Prior to joining ARI’s parent company, DAA in 2011, Nicola was a member of the Senior Management Team of PepsiCo Ireland Food & Beverage; where she established the marketing function and led the Walkers brand to top position in Ireland in its category. She joined ARI in 2012 as Head of Global Customer Strategy.
