ARI Announces Overall Star Employee of The Year Winners
George Charalambous from Cyprus was awarded ARI’s overall Star Employee of The Year at a ceremony in Dublin last Friday night. Nelcy Abdallah from Beirut and Paul O’Farrell from Dublin also received runners up prizes from ARI, Global HR Director Antoinette Quinn.
The prizes were awarded at a gala dinner which was the culmination of a four day visit to Ireland by all of the regional Star Award winners from Canada, Barbados, Cyprus, India, New Zealand and The Middle East.
The Star Award winners’ visit coincided with the St. Patrick’s Day Festival and some of the highlights of their stay included, attending the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, a tour of Dublin Castle and the Viking Splash Tour.
ARI CEO Jack MacGowan commented. “This is the second year of the ARI Star Awards and as well as recognising and awarding some of our many exceptional employees, they have also helped cultivate closer links with employees from all of our business units. It was great to meet all of our regional winners and I was genuinely struck by how much they enjoyed their stay in Dublin and being part of the Star Awards experience.
I would like to congratulate not just George, Nelcy and Paul but all of our regional and quarterly winners and I look forward to the 2017 Star Awards.”
The overall winner was also congratulated by CTC-ARI General Manager Garrett Coogan who said, “George is a committed and diligent team player who is always willing to go the extra mile. All of us at CTC-ARI are very proud of George winning this prestigious and very worthy award and congratulate him on his achievement.”
