Jack MacGowan, Chief Executive Officer
Jack was appointed Chief Executive Officer in August 2011 having previously held the role of Chief Commercial Officer, DAA with responsibility for all commercial operations in Ireland including retail, car parks, marketing and property concessions. Prior to joining DAA in 2005, Jack worked with Tesco, first as Head of Marketing for Tesco Ireland and later as Non-Food Marketing Director in the UK. An engineer by profession, Jack’s other career roles include marketing and general management positions at Diageo in the UK, USA, Russia and Greece and a period in the London office of business consultants, McKinsey & Company.
Gerry Crawford, Director Retail Operations
Gerry joined the DAA group of companies after graduation with a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University College Dublin. He held various finance management roles before being recruited to the DAA’s international retail management programme. Subsequently, he spent 14 years overseas with Aer Rianta International, holding senior management positions in Eastern Europe, Middle East, The Levant and the Mediterranean. Prior to taking up the role of Director - Retail Operations, his most recent posts were Head of Retail & Concessions (Ireland), Procurement & Logistics Manager – Middle East and General Manager of the award winning Cyprus Duty Free. Gerry also holds an MBA from Warwick Business School.
Anthony Kenny, Finance Director
Anthony joined the company in December 2012, having previously worked in DAA for 4 years as Head of Commercial Business Development and before that as Head of Commercial & Retail Finance. Anthony held senior management roles in Hagemeyer Ireland and Irish Continental Group., plc and qualified as a Chartered Accountant working for Deloitte.
Philip Eckles, Chief Executive Officer, ARIME
Philip, who has close to 20 years senior management experience in ARI, took on his current role as Chief Executive Officer, Aer Rianta International Middle East (ARIME) in 2010. Based in Bahrain, ARIME is one of ARI’s most significant joint venture partnerships and manages retail interests at airports ranging from Cyprus to India. Philip’s career with ARI has included periods as Operations Manager in Pakistan and England and General Manager in Ukraine and North America. He also served as Commercial Adviser to the company on a number of key projects in locations such as Birmingham in the UK and Sofia in Bulgaria.
Paul Neeson, Director Retail, ARI Ireland
A career retailer, Paul joined the company in 2000 and heads up ARI Ireland’s retail and food and beverage operations at Dublin, Shannon and Cork Airports. He previously held a variety of senior management roles in Virgin Retail, including General Manager Ireland and Northern Europe and Regional Manager Central England.
Nicola Wells, Director – Global Customer Strategy and Marketing
Nicola began her career on the graduate programme at Masterfoods in the UK in 1995 fulfilling a number of field sales and regional management roles. She joined Britvic in 1998, broadening her commercial experience in a number of increasingly senior roles before moving into consumer marketing in 2001, managing major household brands such as Pepsi, 7-Up, Robinsons, Fruit Shoot and J20, before relocating to Ireland in 2007 with PepsiCo.
Prior to joining ARI’s parent company, DAA in 2011, Nicola was a member of the Senior Management Team of PepsiCo Ireland Food & Beverage. She joined ARI in 2012 as Head of Global Customer Strategy and was appointed Director of Global Customer Strategy and Marketing in 2013
Ronan McArdle, Director of Business Development
Ronan was appointed Director of Business Development at ARI International in 2012 with responsibility for securing new concession contracts in the company’s focus markets. He previously held a variety of senior management positions at CG Hotels the owner airport hotel properties at Dublin, Shannon & Cork, Punch Taverns plc (UK) and Bankers Trust Private Equity in London.
Antoinette Quinn, Head of Human Resources
Antoinette joined ARI in January 2012 as Head of Human Resources, she moved into ARI from DAA, where she headed up the Group Business Partner Team. Prior to this, Antoinette worked for Enterprise Ireland and The Irish Trade Board, where she led the Organisation Development team and was the HR Manager for Enterprise Ireland's overseas offices in Asia, North America and Europe.
